Former Bayern Chief Begins Jail Term

Former Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness begins a three-and-a-half-year jail sentence for tax evasion, his lawyers have disclosed.

The former World Cup-winning striker is serving his sentence at Landsberg Lech Prison in Southern Germany.
The 62-year-old was found guilty of defrauding tax authorities of £22.5m in March.
