The police in Kogi State at the weekend arrested a monarch and seven others over the murder of Chief Isah Edime, an ace broadcaster.
Chief Isah was abducted from his house at Egume Ojikpadala on Tuesday and hacked to death by suspected assassins who are still at large.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the police by Sai’du Madawaki have swiftly swung into operation and have started making arrests of suspects connected in the crime.
A monarch in the community, Atila Ajeka and others have been arrested i connection with the crime and the police have said they will appear in court to prove their innocence or otherwise.
Madawaki said the victim had reported threat to his life late last year and some of those he reported were among those arrested.
It was gathered that the leadership of Ome descendant union has been at logger head over who is the real leader of the community.
Since late Isah Edime was crowned with the title of Egena Eju Attah by the Attah Igala last year, he had known no peace again as the people felt threatened that Attah may recognise him more than others, hence the beginning of hatred for the former general manager of radio Benue and Kogi State, the source revealed.
